Electric Vehicles - 2021
Consumer Attitude Survey
Electric Vehicle Council
A recent poll of Australian car buyers revealed that many are ready to make the switch to an electric vehicle.
The survey conducted by the Electric Vehicle Council in conjunction with Carsales.com.au in July 2021 also indicated that most respondents would like to see government policies that encourage a transition to EVs.
When asked about energy sources for charging an EV, 55% said they would likely use solar power or solar battery storage, and a further 12% indicated they would use energy purchased from the grid using green power or a carbon offset.
Public charging facilities are also powered with renewable energy, this means electric vehicles will create significant reductions in emissions.
